An ancient market town, Newton Abbot is located in South Devon,
close to both the stunning coastline and the rugged beauty of
Dartmoor National Park. The surrounding countryside of rolling
hills are full of interesting places to visit with family and
friends. There is something for everyone. The cities of Exeter
and Plymouth are within an hour's drive for those who enjoy a
more urban experience.
The town itself is famous for the racecourse which hosts a full
season of events each year and brings in crowds of horse racing
fans from around the county. In the centre of town, surrounding
the Sample Mills offices, are a fabulous mixture of independent
retailers trading alongside high street names. And true to its
roots, Newton Abbot hosts markets six days a week to keep everyone happy.

Newton Abbot is positioned between the A380 and A38 so
can boast of excellent access to the outstanding areas
of beauty that surround it. Within half an hour you can
be walking on Dartmoor or enjoying the fabulous Devon
coastline. Exeter and Plymouth are an easy car ride away.
If you like to travel by train, Newton Abbot is served
by direct national rail connections to London, Penzance
and the North. The town is also serviced by national bus
routes, and locally an extensive timetable will enable
you to travel by bus throughout the town and surrounding areas.
